Paul S. Rabrich, 72

Paul S. Rabrich of Woodstock passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at the age of 72. Paul was born on March 18, 1949, in Queens New York, and grew up in Roslyn Heights, New York. Paul moved to Illinois and attended Illinois Institute of Technology and University of Illinois at Chicago, where he graduated in 1976 magna cum laude in computer graphics. Paul combined his computer and math skills with his love of astrology and charted the NYSE from its inception to modern days. Paul loved doing charts for his friends and family and interpreting them. Raymond S. Howard, 84

Raymond S. Howard, age 84, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully Feb. 9, 2022, at Hospice in Barrington with his loving family at his side. He was born Sept. 24, 1937 in Chicago, the only child of Raymond B. and Theresa (Frey) Howard. He married Julie A. Gullett in Barrington, Ill., on April 15, 1967. He went to Leo Catholic High School in Chicago, and after graduating, studied geology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. However, aviation was his true passion, which brought him a career as a flight dispatcher for United Airlines in 1959. He also received his private pilot’s license and bought and flew his own airplane, a Piper J-3 “Cub.” Unfortunately, that airplane was severely damaged in

Harry ‘Mike’ Wagenaar, 77

Harry “Mike” Wagenaar of Grayslake, formerly of Woodstock, died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with prostate cancer on Feb. 14, 2022, at the age of 77. Harry loved his family and is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of 54 years; son, Michael (Tanya); and daughters, Susan (Mark) Remshak, Melissa (Bob), Rebecca (Tim) Miller, and Andrea (Chris) Mullin; nine grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Tom; sister Joanna; and many nieces and nephews. Harry enjoyed playing golf and watching sports. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. He also loved hearing and telling bad jokes. Born: Aug. 21, 1942, in Chicago Died: Feb. 12, 2022 Diane Patricia O’Donnell is survived by her husband, Sean O’Donnell; children, Sheila O’Donnell, Roisin (Xavier) Herrera, Mary (Anthony) Keisling, Patrick (Heidi) O’Donnell, Daniel O’Donnell, and Brendan (Nikki) O’Donnell; grandchildren, Natalia, Maximilian, Mario, and Oliver Herrera, Michael, Sean, Maureen, Liam, and Nicholas Keisling, Francesco, Anna, Sean, and Grace O’Donnell; siblings, Cheryl Hofweber, Thomas (MaryBeth) Smith, and Jeffrey (Robert Rodi) Smith; and sister-in-law JoAnn Smith.She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald M. Smith, Sr. and Marjorie H. Smith, and her daughter, Maureen Patricia O’Donnell; brother, Gerald M. Smith, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Colleen Poleski. Duane A. Andes, 79

Duane A. Andes, age 79, of Woodstock, passed away Feb. 11, 2022, with his loving family by his side.  He was born on May 19, 1942, in Maroa, Ill,, the son of Arthur and Marjorie (Bramel) Andes. He married Linda Reese on Nov. 17, 1962, at the First United Methodist Church in Woodstock. Duane graduated from Woodstock High School in 1960. After high school, he joined the National Guard. In 1963 he started working for Commonwealth Edison working as a meter reader, eventually retiring in 1999 as an area foreman. Donald Thomas Frozley, 84

Born: Dec. 8, 1937 Died: Dec. 27, 2021 Donald Thomas Frozley, 84, Grand Rapids, Mich., formerly of Woodstock, passed away Dec. 27, 2021, in Grand Rapids. He is survived by his wife, Retha; two children, Steve (Carolyn) of Grand Rapids and Greg (Alison) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren; and sister, Diane Nelson of Phoenix. Don graduated from St. Mary High School in 1956, where he played football and ran track. He then joined the United States Marine Corps. After the service he attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University. From there he went on to work many years in the restaurant business. Glen Northup, 92

Glen Northup, 92, passed on Jan. 28, 2022. He was born in Selma, Iowa, and passed peacefully in his home in rural Woodstock. Glen was a veteran who served in Germany. When he returned from service, he worked with various farmers until starting a 50-year career with Local 150 operating engineers. Glen enjoyed his retirement, camping and visiting friends, family, and music festivals. Joyce Arlyne Rigby, 92

Joyce Arlyne Rigby passed away peacefully in Crystal Lake, Ill., on Jan. 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Woodstock, Illinois to Elmer and Lillie Eckert, who preceded her in death, as did her sister, Mary Perrachione; brother, Dr. Elmer Eckert; grandson Jacob Rigby; and beloved husband, Benjamin Rigby. She graduated from Woodstock High School in 1946 and attended Gregg Business College in Chicago. Joyce married Benjamin Rigby on May 7, 1949. Survivors include four sons, David (Kathie) of Johnsburg, Paul (Carol) of Glenview, John (Marla) of Woodstock, and Mark (Jennifer) of Woodstock. Born: June 30, 1924, Chicago Died: Jan. 14, 2022, Algonquin Gabriel Casalino, 97, died peacefully at home at Clarendale of Algonquin on Jan. 14. Gabe was born in Chicago to Antonio and Rose (Grimaldi) Casalino on June 30, 1924. After graduation from high school, Gabe served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945. He was an ambulance driver at the Battle of the Bulge in Europe at the end of World War II. After the war he met the love of his life, Ann Minnona, at the Paradise Dance Hall. Mariella “Beanie” Kleinschmidt, age 67, of Woodstock, passed away Jan. 12, 2022. She was born on Dec. 29, 1954, in Woodstock, to Gerald and Geraldine (Dwyer) Donahue. She married Don Kleinschmidt on Nov. 5, 1982, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Crystal Lake. Beanie grew up in Woodstock and attended St. Mary school; she graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School in 1973. Beanie had a loving and caring heart. She took endless joy in raising her own children. She ran an in-home daycare for several years, and loved those children like her own. She was a proud Grandmother “Oleo-B,” known for late-night milkshakes and late-night TV, a loving wife to Don, and the sweetest dog owner to her “baby”
